The Group itself was purchased by National Express Group PLC in 2007. The Connections product evolved out of a need for a national solution, delivering the quality of service and dedicated back up service, similar to that offered by The Kings Ferry's own coaching operation and that of many other quality operators.
As a product Connections has gone from strength to strength and has grown its client base rapidly on the basis of a simple and quality system. From the operators viewpoint our success here has been based on providing quality and quantity of work at prices dictated by them, allowing operators to fill up gaps in their diaries, increasing yield from resource without the long term commitment and punitive fixed price contracts. Operators retain the flexibility to pick and choose their work to suit their business needs.
